Why hello there, welcome to POLKA DOTTED PIXELS! My name is Alex, and I want to thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet. Parts of the site are still under construction (mainly my portfolio, and I plan on setting up a shop as well), but I REALLY wanted to start posting. I've been planning this launch forever - and the 1st of April sounded perfect (a new week, a new month, a new season - it seemed like a great time to start something fresh and wonderful) !
So I guess I will start by introducing POLKA DOTTED PIXELS, the blog, the studio, and of course the lady behind it all - ME!
THE GIRL BEHIND THE DOTS
Alexandra
K. Pettinato has had a passion for images, letters and polka dots for
as long as she can remember. She probably has more rolls of unprocessed
film than you, and feels really, really bad about it. Alex received a BFA from
York University in Visual Arts (Photography), and studied Graphic Design at Humber
College. She calls Toronto home, and works as a graphic designer from
her studio in The Junction. She can usually be found with her puppy,
Rudie, making cute things. Alex feels weird about talking about herself
in the third person, but loves DIY, design, photography, polka
dots, pastels, punk rock, and traveling.
THE BLOG
POLKA DOTTED PIXELS is a lifestyle + graphic design + DIY blog. It started, because Alex needed an awesome place to share her ideas and
inspirations. So what will you find here, you ask? Well, DOTS + DESIGN + DIY of
course! You can expect daily posts about graphic design,
photography, creative inspiration, DIY projects, and a mess of popular
culture musings. Most of all, POLKA DOTTED PIXELS just wants to make your screens a
little cuter!
THE STUDIO
POLKA
DOTTED PIXELS is the design studio of Alexandra K. Pettinato. Launched
in 2011, Alex offers a variety of graphic + web design, illustration
and photographic services. She collaborates with many clients in The

I've blogged before, but this time, I swear it's different. I've been
carefully planning posts and features, reading, commenting, keeping
active on social media, taking classes, doing research - all to create
content that you'll love and will keep us all interested and
entertained. I am really excited about this venture, and excited to share with you all!
