WORN ADVENTURES: Interview #1

Hey guys! So, I had my interview with WORN Fashion Journal last night!!!

For those of you who don't know, WORN is a bi-annual fashion magazine.  Though if you're expecting to crack the spine to find out Who Wore it Best - you won't find that.  WORN has few ads, fantastic + interesting content, and a genuine passion for fashion and the role it plays in society.  I feel like instead of being interested in WHO wore it, and WHERE they were spotted - WORN focuses on WHY fashion is important and HOW it shapes the future.  I really believe that the Wornettes have made something really amazing, and I only hope that I can contribute.

I applied for a graphic design internship with them, and am super excited that the interview went well.  I would be working on the next issue - which would be released for the fall/winter season.  I am meeting with the editor for a second interview next week! EEE!!!  So excited.

It's funny, one of the interview questions was, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"  A graphic designer of course!  Well, besides the fact that I am already pretty grown - I am so lucky, so happy, and so so so thankful that I get to do what I love every day.  Because I get to be an artist, and it's just fantastic.  I did mention that I would like to write more.  Before I ever wanted to be an artist, photographer, graphic designer... I wanted to be a writer.  So, hey, good thing I started a blog, right?

WORN is such a special publication, and I'm so thrilled to even be considered for the position.

By the way, take a look at the cover for the new issue!  It's Jeanne Beker! Isn't she just the coolest?  Thanks for Fashion Television, Jeanne! You made watching TV a lot more fun.
