ILLUSTRATION: Brie + Me

Just a quick post today before I head out to run some errands.  This week I had the pleasure of celebrating with one of my oldest friends.  We grew up together, but she now lives out of town.  I miss her all the time! AH!  Anyways, it was her birthday last week, and we went out to celebrate on Wednesday night.

I decided to do a little illustration of us, and give it to her for her birthday.  Because, well, I thought it was cute, and why not?  Haha, I even put us in clothes that we actually own.  Amazing.  Love you Brie!

I'm thinking about starting to do custom illustrations.  It could be a lot of fun :)

WANDERLUST: New Adventures in Flight

Hey guys, I know I haven't been around much lately.  Let's just call it a vacation, ok?  Life's been busy, and I'm working on finding a balance.

I applied for my dream job this morning.  You'll be interested to know that it's not a graphic design position.  Hmm..  But to be honest, I have a lot of interests! And I plan to continue freelancing regardless.

I thought I would share (part of) my resume here, because I worked on it for awhile.  Haha.  If you couldn't tell, I'm applying for a position as a flight attendant with Air Canada.  Whether or not I get hired, or even get a call back is not the point.  I just felt like if this is something that I really want, then I should go for it.  Better to have tried and failed than to not try at all!

I've been doing this thing in my life right now, where instead of just talking about doing things, I actually set a plan into action and give it my all.  And you know what, I think it's working.

Working as a flight attendant for Air Canada has been a dream of mine for as long as I remember, and preparing this application was the first step towards my next adventure.

EDIT: I wrote this post on Friday morning but held off on posting, because I wasn't sure if I should/wanted to share...  I submitted my resume in the morning, and got a call back in the afternoon.  Had a phone interview, and I think it went really well.  Keep your fingers crossed that I get a second interview :)
